Accident leads to charges
At 10:45 a.m. Milliman was operating a vehicle following a vehicle driven by Mark A. Waterman, 52, of West Green Street when Waterman was turning right into a driveway off of Lake Shore Drive West.
Milliman struck the rear passenger side of Waterman's vehicle. Property damage was also caused to a mail box at 430 Lake Shore Drive West.
Chautauqua County Court
MAYVILLE - District Attorney David W. Foley announced the following pleas and sentences in Chautauqua County Court:
State Police at Collins
On Sunday evening, Charles F. Smith, 32, of West Main Street in Gowanda was charged with second-degree menacing.
Troopers responded to West Becker Road for Smith allegedly pointing a long gun at his brother. The victim fled the scene on his all-terrain vehicle to notify police.
Smith is to appear in court at a later date.
On Sunday, Jennifer l. Heidemann, 25, of Phelps was charged with first-degree promoting prison contraband and criminal possession of a hypodermic needle.
Heidemann was apprehended as she attempted to enter the Collins Correctional Facility allegedly with a hypodermic needle filled with blood. A trooper from the barracks in Collins responded to the call from the facility.

BRANT - On Sunday, Lisa M. Ramsey, 24, of Route 438 in Irving was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated. In addition, it was reported her license plates were suspended.
Ramsey submitted to a breath test which reportedly showed a blood alcohol content of .18 percent.
She was released to appear in the Town of Brant Court at a later date.
Westfield Police
Erin Weingart, 34, of Cottage Street was charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child on May 20.
At 7 p.m., Westfield Police responded to 100 Watson Ave. for the report of a fight that had already occurred.
Upon further investigation, it was determined Weingart got into a physical altercation which allegedly involved Weingart taking a swing at a homeowner of the residence.
In the process, Weingart knocked over a 1-year-old child and was fighting in the presence of an 8-year-old child.
Weingart was issued appearance tickets and will appear in Village of Westfield Court at a later date.
