IRVING - The Sunset Bay Beach Club will host a fun day at the beach to raise money for the western New York Chapter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation, an organization that grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions.
The event will be held Saturday, June 2 from 1 to 5 p.m. Participants can enjoy live music by the teen band Imortal, wine tasting by local wineries, beach access, a silent auction and fun picnic type games. Kids can play on the beach or swim in the clean waters of Lake Erie. Lifeguards will be on duty - weather permitting.
The Sunset Bay Beach Club underwent a major remodeling this past year and now boasts a larger patio, an outdoor stage area and a new tropical look. The 5-acres of sandy beach is clean and groomed daily. Cabana Sam's Sunset Bay Grill, the tropical waterfront restaurant located next door to Sunset Bay Beach Club, has raised money for Make-A-Wish for the past few years during their Tuesday Oldies Night. Sunset Bay Beach Club hopes Wine & Wishes can turn into an annual event for a great cause.
