The OBSERVER

Officials at Lake Erie Regional Health System of New York (LERHSNY) are announcing the addition of obstetrician/gynecologist Tawsufe Majid, MD, to the active medical staff at Brooks Memorial Hospital in Dunkirk. Dr. Majid will be seeing patients in the offices of Andre A. Persaud, MD, at G&P Gynecare Women's Healthcare Center, located at 306 Central Ave., Dunkirk. New obstetric patients and women seeking general and specialized gynecologic care are invited to call Dr. Majid for appointments at 366-4210.

"We are exceptionally fortunate and proud to welcome Dr. Majid to our medical staff. His medical and surgical training is held in the highest regard across the country," Jonathan I. Lawrence, President & CEO of LERHSNY, said. "Women of all ages throughout our community will benefit from having local access to yet another exceptionally talented Obstetrician/Gyn-ecologist."

Dr. Majid said he chose this area because of its close-knit feeling, the diversity of culture, the similarity of its size to his homeland, and because of the health system's interest in "increasing and improving the health care system in my field it's where I found myself needed."
