The United States Achievement Academy announced that Braden Geffert of Dunkirk has been recognized as a student of excellence in honor roll. Braden, who attends Dunkirk Middle School, was nominated for this honor by Mr. Quinn, a teacher at the school. Braden will appear in the United States Achievement Academy's Official Yearbook which is published nationally.
Braden is the son of Shawna and Andrew Szukala of Dunkirk. His grandparents are Larry and Linda Steward of Fredonia and Barbara LaMar and John Geffert of Fredonia.
Braden was selected as student of the month eight times and was recognized by the district school board as the student of the month out of the entire school. Since the beginning of sixth grade, he has earned high honor roll each quarter and has also received perfect homework marks two out of three quarters so far.

Braden plays defensive corner and safety for Dunkirk's midget league varsity football team. He is interested in space, world history, architecture and archaeology. He likes to draw and read non-fictional books.
Braden hopes to graduate high school as the valedictorian and then go on to a prestigious college. His dream is to earn his masters and doctoral degrees and become an archaeologist and also teach archaeology to kids.
