Planning board workshop set
The town of Dunkirk Planning Board will conduct a workshop Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at the Town Hall, 4737 Willow Road to continue development of a comprehensive plan for the town.
Hanover sewer bills due today
Hanover Town Clerk Janine Salzman reminds Hanover sewer customers the last day to pay sewer bills without penalty is today. Late payments will be charged an additional 10 percent penalty fee. Payments can be made at the town clerk's office in the Hanover Town Hall, 68 Hanover St., Silver Creek, before 5 p.m.
Chamber board meets Wednesday
The Dunkirk Community Chamber of Commerce's monthly board of directors meeting is at 4 p.m. Wed-nesday in the Clarion Hotel.
Kathy Tampio, executive director of the Chadwick Bay Regional Development Corporation, will be a guest speaker. All are invited to attend.

Music on the Pier Thursday to feature That '80s Hair Band
Take a trip back in time at the city of Dunkirk pier Thursday with That '80s Hair Band. Featuring music from the '80s, That '80s Hair Band was voted Buffalo's best hard rock band each year from 2004 to 2009, and again in 2010. The 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. performance is sponsored this week by Lake Shore Bank.
CLCS changes meeting location
The Chautauqua Lake Central School District has announced that today's meeting location has been changed. The meeting will be held in the high school library starting at 6:30 p.m.
Father's Day chicken barbecue in Dayton
The Dayton Volunteer Firemen's annual Father's Day Chicken Barbecue will be held Sunday at the new fire hall, 9512 Route 62, Dayton, starting at 11:30 a.m. until sold out. The cost is $8.50 for adults and $5 for children under 12 years of age.
The dinner consists of half chicken, salt potato, macaroni salad, cole slaw, roll and homemade desserts. Take outs are available. Call 532-2627.
Jamestown chapter donor appreciation blood drive Thursday
On Thursday, the American Red Cross will host a donor appreciation blood drive and invites all donors and their families. They can come and enjoy hot dogs and get a chance to meet Jamestown Jammers mascot Bubba Grape. All presenting donors will receive a ticket to a Jamestown Jammers baseball game and will be entered to win a $50 gas gift card.
