Kabob-Cassadaga Road repairs scheduled
Chautauqua County crews will make repairs on Kabob-Cassadaga Road (County Route 71) in Stockton between Luce Road and Maple Avenue starting Monday. The work will take about three days and during that time that section of the road will be open for local traffic only. A detour will not be posted.
Dinner buffet Saturday at Ellery Center Fire Department
The Ellery Center Volun-teer Fire Department, 4400 Dutch Hollow Road, Bemus Point, is hosting an all-you-can-eat dinner buffet to benefit the Samaritan house of Sinclairville Saturday from 3 to 7 p.m. The cost is $7 adult $6.50 senior and $6. Children under 10. Dinner will include meats, potatoes, vegetables, salad, side dishes, desserts and drink. There will be a silent auction and door prize.
They will hold an all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet Sunday to benefit the fire department. The cost is $6 adult, $5.50 senior and $5 children 10 and under.
Forestville announces special meeting Friday
The Village of Forestville will hold a special meeting at the Municipal Building, 18 Chestnut St., Forestville, at 6 p.m. on Friday.
Gas prices fall
Average retail gasoline prices in Rochester fell in the past week, averaging $3.69/g Sunday. This compares with the national average that has fallen in the last week to $3.56/g.
Ruth Lundin to appear on Senior Report
Senior Report with Reed Powers will have Ruth Lundin as the guest on Saturday's television program. Lundin is the president of the Jamestown Audubon Society. The live, call-in program airs from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturdays. Individuals may call 753-5225 during that time with questions, comments or a shout-out. The program is rebroadcast each day at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. for some communities.
