directors to hold
meeting Wednesday
The Chautauqua County Industrial Development (CCIDA) Board of Directors will hold a meeting on Wednesday at 10 a.m. The meeting will be held at CCIDA located at 200 Harrison St., Jamestown.
Guitar concert set
in Fredonia Saturday
A performance celebrating "500 years of Music For Guitar" will take place Saturday at 7 p.m. in the First United Methodist Church of Fredonia.
Guitarist Peter Griggs will perform guitar music from the Renaissance to the contemporary at 25 Church St. A free-will offering is encouraged for admission.
Cassadaga Cub Scouts Enrollment Night Monday
On Monday, at 6 p.m. there will be a Cub Scouts Enrollment Night at the American Legion in Cassa-daga. Cub Scouts is open for boys entering first grade through fifth, ages 7-10. For more information call Rob Berwick at 338-8138.
County Home to hold long-term care seminar Tuesday
The Chautauqua County Home is sponsoring a long-term care informational seminar Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. in the Dayroom.
This is open to the public and free of charge. The seminar will provide basic information on Long Term Care Insurance and the different types of policies that are offered and the benefits and features available.
This is often a confusing and complicated subject. Before you decide whether or not this is the right option for you, know the facts. Refreshments will be served.
Travelers: Prepare for high traffic levels related to Nik Wallenda event
U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Field Operations reminds travelers planning cross border trips today and into the early morning hours on Saturday to plan for an increase in both pedestrian and automobile traffic.
The Rainbow Bridge is expected to see a significant increase in pedestrian and automobile traffic following the Nik Wallenda event and CBP officials want to inform the traveling public that there are a number of steps that can be taken to facilitate their arrival into the United States.
