CSX to close Allegany Road crossing Monday
Hanover Highway Superintendent Steve D'Angelo announced that CSX will close the Allegany Road crossing into Sunset Bay beginning Monday at 7 a.m. The access road will be open for limited travel.
The crossing is expected to re-open by 6 p.m. that evening.
Seats remain for fund-raiser
Tickets are still available today for a fund-raiser for the Fredonia Elementary PTA Playground fund and raising funds for a primary-age children. The event is being held at Shorewood Country Club and begins at 6 p.m. For more information, call Cris Gegenschatz at 718-909-1710.
S.C.O.R.E to participate in today's yard sale
Stockton Citizens' Organization for Renewal and Expansion (S.C.O.R.E.) members are collecting yard sale items which will be for sale during Cassadaga Days. The sale will be located at 21 Miller Ave on Saturday from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. Part of the money raised will benefit the Cassadaga Library. Any donations would be greatly appreciated. Summer Mensa Admission Test June 23
The WNY chapter of American Mensa is holding a summer admissions test.
The Mensa Admissions Test is composed of two tests involving logic and deductive reasoning, and are supervised by a certified Mensa proctor. Scoring at or above the 98th percentile on either test qualifies you for membership in Mensa. Approximately 60 percent of those who take the test prove to be eligible for membership. Come out, have fun, and challenge yourself on June 23 in the Southgate Plaza Meeting room, 950 Union Road #A, West Seneca. Doors open/sign-in: 10 a.m. Test begins: 10:15 a.m.

Business Council launches Made in New York website
The Business Council of New York State Inc. has launched MADEinNY.org, a website that promotes New York businesses and their products and services. The website was created to highlight Council members and the diverse products and services they make and provide.
The site currently features nearly 400 companies from across the state, whose products range from food items and textiles to circuit boards and microchips. While the thrust of the site is to showcase manufacturers, it also features companies that sell products or provide services in the state, as well as tourist destinations and educational institutions unique to New York.
