Hanover Highway Superintendent Steve D'Angelo announced that CSX will close the Allegany Road crossing into Sunset Bay beginning Monday at 7 a.m. The access road will be open for limited travel.
The crossing is expected to re-open by 6 p.m. that evening.
Abate of N.Y. to hold Fun Run June 30
The Chautauqua County Chapter Abate of N.Y. is hosting a Fun Run and Membership Drive on June 30 at Sheridan Bay Park on Route 5 in Sheridan.
The cost is $15 per person. Registration starts at 11 a.m. Kickstands will be up at noon. The meal is at 5 p.m. Live music by Pressure Sensitive starts at 6 p.m. Refreshments will be available. There will be a silent auction and a raffle for a 32-inch LG LCD flat screen TV.
