Twenty years ago - 1992

The director of a large Russian company which plans to market Dunkirk Radiator Corp. boilers in that country recently visited local officials to present them with certification documents which makes Dunkirk Radiator the only foreign boiler maker in the world authorized to sell its product in the newly-formed Commonwealth of Independent States.

Thirty years ago - 1982

The Fredonia Rotary Club presented Mr. and Mrs. William Kaminski, 118 Matteson St., Fredonia with the Rotary "Citizens of the Year" award at a luncheon meeting at the White Inn. This award is given annually to individuals who contribute to the betterment of the community.

Forty years ago - 1972

Daniel Drozdiel, son of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Drozdiel, 325 Bucknor St, Dunkirk is the new recipient of the William "Scoop" Mulligan Police Scholarship Award. He is a senior at Dunkirk High School.

Fifty years ago - 1962

Work has begun on the construction of the new New York Avenue playground in Dunkirk.
