According to a company spokesman for the ODD's-n-END's Store chain, "the grand opening at the D&F Plaza was our best ever!" The recently opened store offers something for everyone and apparently local shoppers understood that and enthusiastically welcomed the store's entry into our area.

The "Maintenance Professional of the Year" award was presented recently to Sgt. Laurie Ann Charry at Nellis AFB, Reno, Nev. The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Charry, 17 Washington St., Silver Creek, Sgt. Charry is a 1978 graduate of Silver Creek Central School. She has been a member of the U.S. Air Force for the past four years.

Richard Erdle has been named the recipient of the annual M&T Scholar Athlete Award at Silver Creek Central School.

The Rev. Howard C. Patterson, minister of the First Methodist Church in Dunkirk for the past seven years, announced today he will leave this area for a pastorate in Pennsylvania at the end of the month. The Rev. Chester Beebe has been appointed to the Dunkirk church.
