FHS Girls' Basketball Camp
Fredonia will host a girls basketball camp June 25-28, in the high school and middle school gymnasiums for girls entering grades 3-12. Each participant is expected to arrive at camp between 8:30-8:55 a.m., with the camp beginning promptly at 9 and running til 3:30 p.m.
Campers will work on learning the skills that will make them better basketball players. They will also take part in daily games and competitions.
The cost is $95 per camper and all participants are expected to bring their own lunches. Cold beverages will be for sale at lunch and at the end of each day. All participants should arrange to be picked up 3:30. All parents are welcome to attend the awards ceremony, which will be held Thursday, June 28, at 3 p.m.
Checks should be made payable to Carol Zirkle, and sent to the Fredonia High School, at 425 East Main Street, Fredonia, N.Y., 14063.

1st Ward Falcons 18, Monnies 12
Dan Nickle led the Falcons with three hits while Kyle Adams and Matt Nickle each added two hits. Matt Wisniewski and Matt Murphy also added a hit to help the Falcons. Tim Wdowiasz pitched for the Falcons in the win.
Terry Frazier and Devin Carlson led Monnies with three hits. Connor Farnham and Ryan Hall added two hits of their own. Mike Privitera also had a hit. Rick Zappi and Terry Frazier pitched in the loss for the Monnies
Larry's Cantina 12, Lakeside 3
Down 3-2 in the fourth inning, Larry's Cantina (3-1) scored ten unanswered runs to close out Lakeside (3-1). Winning pitcher Joe Conti quieted Lakeside's bats with 11 strikeouts. On offense, Donnie Paddock had a double, triple, four hits and five RBI. For Lakeside, Shawn Hennessey drove in a pair of runs and Scott Kawski took the loss.

Hart Development 11, American Legion 6
Chris Buchanan carried the big bat for Hart going 3 for 3 with four RBIs. Nick Pchelka also had three hits. Cole Tippens tripled and Tyler Cloos and Dan Lagrow chipped in with hits. Lucas Voss got the win striking out 12 with outstanding relief from Cloos.
Alec Schrader hit a three-run inside-the-park home run for the Legion. Seth Schrader, Jamison Horch and Joseph Gullo hit safely. Tyler Winchell and the Schraders also pitched with Winchell taking the loss.
Hart Development 12, DFT 0
Lucas Voss led Hart with two triples and a double. Chris Buchanan had two hits while Cole Tippens tripled and Mike Hobson doubled. Nick Pchelka and Anthony St. George also hit safely. Buchanan was the winning pitcher allowing just one hit and striking out nine. Tyler Cloos also pitched.
DFT's lone hit was a double by Jake Davis. Reid Tarnowski, Eli McKelvey and Davis threw for DFT.

Wednesday Morning Ladies Purple Posse League - League play for June 20: This week's game was 'Welcome to Summer' mini tournament. Closest to pin: Sandy Destro (No. 1), Marie Aniszewski (No. 6). Shortest drive: Linda DeJoe (No. 8). Blind draw: Grace Miller.
The Purple Posse will tee off at 10 a.m. on June 27. Each week has a different twist on golf and all skill levels are welcome.

The Girls4 Golf Tuesday Night League - Low gross: Nancy Phillips 48, Judith Waterman 52, Sally Giambrone 55, Karen Tramuta 56, Vicki Westling 56, Debbie Yerico 56. Low net: Sally Giambrone 32, Karen Tramuta 33, Suzanne Elias 36, Nancy Phillips 36. Prizes for the evening were won by Sally Giambrone for closest to the pin on hole No. 8 and Vicki Westling for longest drive on hole No. 5. Team standings are: 1st place - Nancy Phillips and Karen Tramuta. 2nd place - Sally Giambrone and Debbie Yerico. 3rd place - Sue Gotowka and Sue Hertlein.

The Women Who Golf For Fun - Winning foursome was Julie Ortendahl, Phyllis East, Linda Hodorowicz and Pat Daniel. Second place was held by the team of Joyce Cullen, Rosemary Tibbetts, Cheryl Gawronski and Pat Kaus.
