I would like to thank your reporter Mark Belcher for the wonderful article he wrote on the dedication of the memorial to my husband Harold "Dick" Lawson which was held June 2 and headlined "Point of Light." He gave him a wonderful tribute.
I would also like to thank NRG Dunkirk plant for the funding for the plaque in his honor and to the donors of the monument E. Thomas Eggert II, Paul and Melanie Myers, Tom, Pizza Village, Robert E. Harris, Charles Tinley Chapter 142 DAV, Michael Vinciguerra, David Briska, Barbara Lawson, Gary Anson, Elaine Grant, Robert E. Waters, John Murphy, Frances Garvey, Patricia Pacos, James Steger and David Civilette.

Dick would have been proud to receive this tribute for the 25 years of volunteer service to the Dunkirk Historical Lighthouse and Veterans Park Museum.
