The Area A?9-10 year-old Little League All-Star tournament continued at Wright Park in Dunkirk on Monday evening with a game between Brocton-Portland and Hanover. Pictured at top left is Hanover hurler Connor Daniels. At top right is Hanover's Jeremy "The Scorpion"?Wilcox following through after putting the ball in play. On bottom left is Brocton-Portland's Mike Steward giving the ball a ride. On bottom right is Brocton-Portland pitcher Nick Putcher delivering a strike.

"This is a privilege for the kids," Dunkirk Little League President Gary Haase said. "They look forward to it every year. The 9-10 year olds, this is the beginning of their Little League careers and to have a tournament for them is great. They're playing against kids their own age. They're seeing pitching their skill level instead of the older kids. It gives them more confidence when they're hitting the ball and making plays in the field. It's really been great play down here. The kids have been making some outstanding defensive plays for this age group."
