Sue M. Vandette, 92, of Dunkirk died Wednesday evening (June 27, 2012) at Brooks Memorial Hospital in Dunkirk.
She was born May 19, 1920 in Conneaut, Ohio, the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Blanco) Williams.
A resident of Dunkirk for most of her life, Mrs. Vandette was a parishioner of Holy Trinity Church.

She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include one son, Michael (Janet) Vandette of Roswell, Georgia; one daughter, Christine (Bruce) Bonsel of Tarpon Springs, Fla.; five grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Michael A. Vandette who died Sept. 1990; six brothers, John, James, Anthony, Charles, Nicholas, and Paul Williams; and two sisters, Kaye Ille and Lucy Hultgren.
Funeral services will be held this afternoon at 3 o'clock in the McGraw-Kowal Funeral Home. The Rev. Joseph Zalacca will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours will be held this afternoon one hour prior to the service from 2-3. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Columban's on the Lake, 2546 Lake Road, Silver Creek, NY 14136.
