The Town of Pomfret will hold a special meeting on Monday, July 2 at 5 p.m. to address the North End Water District contract at the Pomfret Town Hall, 9 Day St., Fredonia.

The Town of Pomfret Clerk's Office will be closed July 3 through 6 and will re-open Monday July 9.
Foster Parent info meeting
The Chautauqua County Department of Social Services will be hosting an informational meeting on Tuesday, July 3 at 6 p.m. at Jamestown Community College Training Center North Campus, Bennett Road, Dunkirk, for those interested in learning more about becoming a foster parent. Foster parents are needed for children of all ages and those willing to accept sibling groups.

Legion planning annual Pow Wow
The Iroquois Post #1587 is hosting a Veterans Pow Wow from July 13 to 15. The theme of the event this year is "Honor All Veterans" and will be held at the Cattaraugus Community Center, 12767 Route 438, Irving. The event is looking for volunteers who would like to help out with the event on Saturday or Sunday with general event tasks. The event starts Saturday and Sunday morning at 10 a.m. and will go until evening. A grand entry is at noon both days as well as 7 p.m. on Saturday.
