Three local people were charged with burglary in connection with a break in at the Frito Lay warehouse on Bennett Road in the Town of Dunkirk.
Charged with third-degree burglary were Marqus Singh, 20, and Stephanie Conklin, 17, both of Fredonia and Jennifer Melendez-Contreras, 27, of Dunkirk.
Thursday morning at about 2 a.m., troopers were dispatched by the Chautauqua County 911 Center to the site. The officers interviewed a delivery truck driver who reported witnessing several subjects leaving the business and finding that a forced entry had been made into the building.
The troopers' investigation led to a local residence. They reportedly recovered proceeds from the break in.
All three subjects were arraigned in Dunkirk Town Court and sent to the Chautauqua County Jail in lieu of $20,000 cash or $40,000 bond. They are scheduled to return to court on July 2.
The investigation is continuing and further arrests are anticipated.
Troopers were assisted by the Dunkirk Police Department and the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Department.
