The Fredonia 11-12 year-old and 9-10 year-old softball all-star teams had success Sunday playing in their respective tournaments. The 11-12 year-olds moved to the Section 1 championship game after its 16-3 win over Lockport while the 9-10 year-olds earned the District 38 championship with its 15-5 win over Dunkirk. The 11-12 year-olds will square off against Seneca Falls, a 13-3 winner over Pittsford Sunday, tonight at 6 p.m. for the Sectional title, at the Eagan Sports Complex, located on Clinton Avenue, in Fredonia. The 9-10 year-olds, who won close to home, taking the best-of-three series against Dunkirk at Joe Karnes Field, will travel to Oakfield to play a yet-to-be-determined opponent in the Section 1 tournament, on July 14.
