Youth Touch Football Tournament set for July 26
Tri-County Events will be holding a touch football tournament Thursday, July 26 at the George Dispenza Memorial Field on Broadway Road in Gowanda from 6 to 8 p.m.

In the District 5,7 15U Babe Ruth Tournament held this past weekend, the Chautauqua All-Stars defeated Jamestown 9-8, East Lake Americans, 12-0, and then defeated that same East Lake team, 10-3, in the Championship game. Chautauqua will now compete for the State title in Buffalo on July 12-15. Pictured in front from left are Joey Quagliana, Nolan Hunt, Derek Walter, Judah Herr, Brandon Johnston and Kyle Mayer. Children ages 7-12 from Cattaraugus, Chautauqua and southern Erie County are encouraged to attend. Each participant will receive a registration gift, compete against players their age in organized touch football games and be eligible for individual awards. Refreshments will also be served after the conclusion of the tournament. Space will be limited to 50 registered campers. The cost is $10 per player. Junior Golf at Vineyards
Junior Golf at The Vineyards Golf Course will offer a Junior Golf program. It will begin Thursday at noon and will run for seven consecutive Thursdays. It is open to all children ages 8-18 years old.

Cassadaga Midget Football and Cheerleading
Final sign ups for the Cassadaga Midget Football and Cheerleading will take place Tuesday, July 10 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Sinclairville Elementary School. Bring a copy of the child's birth certificate and the registration fee of $50 for one child, $75 for two children and $80 for three or more children. Players and cheerleaders cannot turn 14 prior to Aug. 1 and must turn 9 by Dec. 1.
Fredonia Boys'
Basketball Camp
The Fredonia Central School Boys' Basketball Camp will be held Monday, July 23 through Thursday, July 26 at the Fredonia High School and Middle School gymnasiums from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Cost for the camp is $90. The camp is open to boys entering grades 3 through 12. All campers will receive a camp T-shirt.
Each athlete is expected to arrive between 8:30 and 9 a.m. The camp will start promptly at 9:30 a.m. Athletes are expected to bring their own lunch.

Inaugural Underclassmen Showcase
The Inaugural Underclassmen Showcase baseball and softball games, featuring Western New York sophomore and junior baseball and softball players, will take place on Saturday, Aug. 11, at North Collins Central Schools Sports Complex.
The baseball game will feature two icons of the WNY baseball world, longtime Orchard Park coach Bob Barrows and former Eden coach Bob Burnside, who will head the coaching staffs.
The softball game will pay tribute to former Williamsville South coach Gerry Gentner, who lost his courageous battle with cancer in January.
The showcase games will provide local baseball and softball players with exposure to college coaches from throughout the Northeast. Candidates must have been selected to their divisional first, second or honorable mention all-star teams to be eligible to play in the games.
