Editor, OBSERVER:
We don't know what the Affordable Care Act will cost, but we do know doing nothing will cost more.
Ask yourself these questions if you oppose the health care bill. Why should we have to pay for someone without health insurance medical care? Why should insurance companies be allowed to drop me if I get sick? Why should we pay for high insurance companies administrative costs which exceed 35 percent? Why can't we get coverage for a child with a pre-existing illness? Why does our government now pay more than any other country in the world for health care and still have 40 million people not covered? Why don't most insurance companies cover preventative care?
I don't care if you're a conservative or a liberal, this is the best thing to come out of Washington since Social Security. In case you don't remember, that was opposed by the Republicans back then too.
