WESTFIELD On June 30, a Jamestown woman was charged with petit larceny and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Around 4:45 p.m., deputies were dispatched the Dollar General Store in the Town Westfield for a reported larceny. Further investigation into the incident revealed that Kelly A. Blakeslee, 22, of Jamestown, had allegedly stolen merchandise from the store and had the merchandise in her possession.

Blakeslee also had in her possession a small bag containing two white pills that were identified as a controlled substance and obtainable by prescription only.

Blakeslee was issued appearance tickets and will answer the charges in Town of Westfield Court at a later date.

Around 3:40 p.m., a deputy was on patrol eastbound on Middle Road in the Town of Sheridan. The deputy observed an ATV enter the road and proceeded west on the eastbound shoulder of the road. It was observed that both occupants of the vehicle were not wearing helmets. The ATV was stopped, and Diana L. Long, 58, of Sheridan, was the vehicle operator, and the female passenger was 11 years old.

Long was issued an appearance ticket for endangering the welfare of a child.

Around 1:28 a.m., deputies responded to a report of an altercation in the Hartfield Bay Cafe where it is alleged Jessica M. Swan, 35, of Jamestown, struck a subject in the face. Swan was issued an appearance ticket to appear in the Town of Chautauqua Court at a later date.

Around 7:35 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop on Waits Corners Road in the Town of Sherman. Ryan E. Blair, 32, of Erie, Pa., was found to be in possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana. Blair was issued appearance tickets and released.

Around 5:10 p.m., deputies on foot patrol in Sunset Bay observed Steven McCool, 18, of Washington Ave. in Dunkirk, allegedly in possession of marijuana.

Further investigation into the incident revealed that McCool was also allegedly in possession of metal knuckles. McCool was issued appearance tickets and will answer the charges in the Town of Hanover Court.

Around 2:11 a.m., deputies stopped a vehicle driven by Jared M. Leavitt, 26, of Buffalo, for failing to use a turn signal while pulling into a driveway.

Upon investigation, Leavitt was placed in custody for DWI, then released with appearance tickets for the Town of Hanover Court at a later date.

Around 4:50 a.m., deputies stopped a vehicle driven by William M. Davison, 19, of Hamburg, for failing to stop at a stop sign on Alleghany Road. Upon investigation, Davison was placed in custody for DWI, then released with appearance tickets for the Town of Hanover Court at a later date.

Around 2:10 a.m., deputies stopped a vehicle driven by Vincent L. Quinn, 28, of Forestville, for crossing the center line on Alleghany Road. Upon investigation, Quinn was placed in custody for DWI, then released with appearance tickets for the Town of Hanover Court at a later date.
