The Fredonia 11-12 year old softball All-Star team competed in its first game of the New York State Championship, in Stony Brook. Fredonia played six tough innings against New Hyde Park, losing 12-1.

Wednesday Travel League - There was a four-way tie for first place at Green Meadows Golf Course, as Tim Siragusa, Carlos Troche, Jim Szalkowski and Pete Gawron all shot 80. Siragusa, from Houston, Texas, was the overall winner on a tiebreaker. Rudi Adamczak finished one stroke back with 81.
The low front nine score was a 36 by Gary Richardson while the low back nine was 40, shot by both Troche and Szalkowski. Other flight winners were Ed Tofil (B), Kerry Murphy (C, on a tiebreaker over Jack Griswold and Bob Manning) and Pat Weaver (D). Winner of the Commissioner's Award was Lee Titus.

Thursday Night Doubles League - The team of Bart Scheer and Eric Eckstrom took first place with an even-par 66. The teams of Chris Mason/Clint Eastland and Randy Conklin and Don Cuminski tied for second, with each team shooting a 68.
Disc Biters will be hosting a singles tournament on Sat. July 21 starting at 10 a.m. Sign ups will begin at 8:30 a.m.
