Wayne Hotelling of Silver Creek sure can dance.
If you did not see the photo of one of the area's great boosters on the front page of the OBSERVER special edition, we included it with this column. It is a fun photo of him and his daughter, Laurel, grooving during an event last January at The Resource Center.
On Wednesday, Hotelling was doing a lot more hustling than dancing in preparation for the annual Laurel Run, which takes place next weekend with a relay from Jamestown to Dunkirk and a group of events in Silver Creek on July 21.

As usual - for the past six years - Hotelling got started early, greeting circulation director Shawn Paulus at 4:30 a.m. for his 550 special editions. The selling of the newspapers, which were on the streets by 6 a.m., is a group effort. Many participate here at the OBSERVER while a number of volunteers also assist.
Besides Hotelling, here are the volunteers who helped raise $2,000 for work-related projects for adults with disabilities at The Resource Center:
