Renowned medium to headline at Lily Dale

July 13, 2012
The OBSERVER

"A Morning with Michelle Whitedove" is the headliner for the week of July 16 to 22 in Lily Dale.

Beginning at 9 a.m. in the auditorium, Michelle Whitedove will share her insights and, during the last hour, will demonstrate her mediumship abilities, giving random public readings to those present. Those attending are asked to come prepared with a question they would like answered from Spirit or a photo of a loved one.

Whitedove has been featured on ABC, CBS, FOX, PBS TV and NPR Radio. Lifetime TV named her America's No.1 Psychic after showcasing her supernatural abilities on television. She also is featured in the HBO documentary "No One Dies in Lily Dale" and was interviewed by Matt Lauer on the "Today" show. Her mission is to empower people and help them understand that life on Earth is a learning expedition, where we learn and grow before returning to our true home.

Whitedove also will be conducting special round table photo readings Saturday, July 21 in the Leolyn Garden Room.

The two special sessions will benefit the Martha DeChard Tedesco/Julia Erb Scholarship Fund, which helps support college students who are native to Lily Dale.

Seating is limited for the two reading sessions - only 15 people in each. Pre-registration is required.

Another special event, Lily Dale's annual Victorian Times Spirit Circles, is set for Friday, July 20 at 8 p.m. in the auditorium. This event fills quickly and pre-registration is required. All proceeds go to support the Lily Dale Mediums League and the Marion H. Skidmore Library. Seating is limited to 120 participants.

The event recreates traditional, Victorian-style spirit circles. The energy will be raised through prayer and song. Spiritualist mediums will sit at every table to bring messages to the participants from the Spirit World . Everyone is invited to dress in Victorian style.

Other presentations during the week include: July 16 to 17, "Readings: Personal and Professional," Rose Vanden Eynden; July 16, "Soul Color Messages," Elizabeth Harper; July 16 to 20, "Medium Unfoldment: Basic & Intermediate Intensive," Sharon Klingler; July 17, "Crystal Healing," Karen Kahn & Kathy Darnell; July 18, "Meditation," Colleen Vanderzyden; July 18, "Numerology 1-2-3-4," Brenda Goetz; July 18, Astrology Roundtable: "12 Characters in Search of an Author," Chantel Paternaude; July 19, "Walking the Labyrinth of Your Sacred Self," Connie Griffith; July 19, "Dreams & the Spirit Connection," Marilyn Awtry; July 19, "Automatic Writing," Christine Sabick; July 20, "Spiritualism 101," Raymond Buckland; July 20, "The Spiritual Healing Power of Pets and Animals," Joanne Copley-Nigro; July 21, "Pay Attention! The annual Lily Dale Artisans' Guild Plant Sale will be held from July 21 to 29 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the band stand near the Maplewood Hotel. All plants have been grown and nurtured in Lily Dale gardens. There also will be handcrafted items for sale created by members of the Guild. All proceeds from the sale go for improvements to the Andrew Jackson Davis Lyceum building.

A full lineup of Children's Week activities is scheduled from July 22 to 27 at the lyceum building. Donations of $10 per child per class will be greatly appreciated.

Special Spirit Walks are planned for July 20 and Aug. 4 at 9:30 p.m. Pre-registration is required - only 100 people per walk will be allowed. Although Lily Dale features Wednesday night spirit walks as part of its regular summer schedule, the special walks will be enhanced by live actors and drama from the past.
