Valley Historical Society hot dog sale today
The Valley Historical Society will be selling hot dogs and cold drinks in Minckler Common in Sinclairville today beginning at 9:30 a.m. until sold out. All proceeds will go toward expenses for this year's Sinclairville History Fair to be held on Sept. 8.

‘Bigfoot’ pays a visit

The 27-time World Champion Bigfoot is visiting Valley Tire Co. in Dunkirk during its Annual Tent Sale being held Friday and today. Valley Tire is located on Lake Shore Drive West across from Memorial Park.
The Teen Summer Reading Program at the Sinclairville Free Library invites teens to a Coffee House at the library on Monday at 6 p.m. Enjoy coffee and cookies and sample excerpts from great books. Please bring your favorite books and join the fun! This program is free and open to those entering grades 7 through 9. Fredonia brush collection dates
The monthly brush and yard waste pickup for the Village of Fredonia will start next week, July 16.
Residents of the village are advised to have bundled brush and limbs and bagged yard waste at the curb no later than 7 a.m. Monday morning. All yard waste must be bagged and all limbs and brush must be tied with twine. Limbs and brush must be cut no longer than 4 feet in length with bundles being no larger than 18 inches in diameter. Bundles and bags are limited to 65 pounds in weight.
Crews will make one pass only through the Village. There will be no loose leaf collection.
Residents may also bring brush, limbs and yard waste to the village barns at 176 Eagle St. at any time.
July pick-up will take place during the week of Aug. 13, September during the week of Sept. 10, and October during the week of Oct. 8.
Rabies clinic set
The Town of Stockton will hold a rabies clinic on Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Town Barn. Cats and dogs belonging to Town of Stockton residents will be inoculated at this time. The vaccine used is not suitable for ferrets. Questions can be directed to Kathryn Palmer, town clerk, during normal business hours Monday and, Tuesday from 1- 5 p.m.
