Donald T. Michalski

Donald T. "Bud" Michalski, of North Roberts Road, Dunkirk, NY died Friday, July 13, 2012 at Sisters Hospital, Buffalo, NY.

He was 85 years of age, born in Dunkirk on November 6, 1926, the son of the late Thomas and Louise (Switalski) Michalski. A lifelong Dunkirk resident, Mr. Michalski was a retired employee of Roblin Steel. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II, serving from 1944-46. Mr. Michalski was a member of the 1st Ward Falcon Club, the Polish Literary & Assembly Rooms (Dom Pol-ski), the Northern Chautauqua Conservation Club and the American Legion Post 62.

Surviving are two sons, Thomas Michalski of Fredonia, NY and Michael (Michelle) Michalski of Rome, NY; two grand-daughters, Merry and Megan Michalski; two sisters, Dolores Lentz and Jean (Richard) Fijal, both of Dunkirk. Nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Evelyn (Mahonski) Michalski and two sisters, Marjorie Fick and Beatrice England.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. There will be no prior visitation. Arrangements by the Newman Funeral Home, Inc.
