The Fredonia Blue Thunder 12U girls softball team competed in a pair of tournaments this season, one in Orchard Park and the other in Hamburg. It was a successful season for the girls. The Girls4 Golf Tuesday Night League - Low gross went to Sue Michalski with a 46 followed by Nancy Phillips with a 48. Low net went to Sue Michalski with a 30 followed by Sue Hertlein with a 31, Debbie Yerico with a 35 and Sue Gotowka with a 35. Debbie Yerico had a birdie on hole No. 7. Prizes for the evening were won by Karen Tramuta for closest to the pin on drive on hole No. 8 and Suzanne Elias for longest putt on hole No. 9.

Hunter's Station Golf Club
Wednesday Travel League - Ron Rys shot the low round of 75 during the league's inaugural visit to Hunter's Station Golf Club. Rys led both the front (40) and back (35). Ed Tofil finished second with 82. Jim Ellman, Sr. won the B Flight on a tiebreaker over Ken Kaus and Jack Griswold was the C Flight winner. The Commissioner's Award was won by Doug Newman. Alex Deering recorded an eagle on the par-4 No.12 hole.

Softball Classic
Time is running out for teams to register for the Fourth Annual Nathan George Memorial Co-ed Softball Classic, which will take place on Saturday, Aug. 11. Teams wishing to play should register by no later than Tuesday.
