The Academy Stars 11-U Travel Baseball Team out of Buffalo recently won the Bronze Division of the Lancer Classic Baseball Tournament in Lewiston. Local team members include Andrew Kruska (29) from Gowanda and Kyler Majka (15) from Mayville.

Westfield Midget Football League

Westfield Goldenhawk Midget Football and Cheerleading will hold final registration and an Ice Cream Kickoff party for all participants on Wednesday, July 25, at Welch Field in Westfield.

The event will begin at 6 p.m. The cost is $40 for a single player and $60 for a family.
