Chautauqua Radiology, P.C. and Dr. Jon Muntz, Chairman of Radiology at Brooks Memorial Hospital announce that Dr. Noel M. Chiantella has joined the practice. Dr. Chiantella started service July 9 and brings with him over 25 years of experience in Diagnostic Radiology.
Dr. Chiantella has a strong record of accomplishment in Diagnostic Radiology and has served the Western New York region for many distinguished years. Originally trained in Diagnostic Radiology through the University of Maryland Hospital System, Dr. Chiantella became Board Certified in Radiology in 1983. He completed a rigorous Neuroradiology fellowship in 1983 and 1984. Dr. Chiantella has special interest in cross sectional imaging and advanced MRI.
Prior to radiology, Dr. Chiantella completed an internship in general surgery at the University of Maryland. Before that, he proudly served in the United States Navy as a general medical officer.

Dr. Noel M. Chiantella
Academically, Dr. Chiantella joined the Department of Diagnostic Radiology as an instructor and subsequently Assistant Professor of Radiology at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. In 1985 he became affiliated with the Department of Radiology at State University of New York at Buffalo, serving as a Clinical Assistant/Professor of Radiology. During this period he also served in a professional capacity at Mercy Hospital in Buffalo as Chairman of the Department of Radiology. He also became one of the founding members of the prestigious Southtowns Radiology Group in Buffalo. He helped guide and build that practice to become the leading provider of diagnostic radiology service in the Buffalo area.
Dr. Chiantella now refocuses his professional expertise and service to Brooks Memorial Hospital's Department of Radiology. Dr. Muntz, Department Chairman, says, "We are honored to have a man of such professional accomplishment and broad skills join us ... He will further strengthen the quality of service we provide."
Joining Dr. Chiantella is his wife of many years Eileen. Both are very happy to be back in western New York after a short sabbatical in Florida.
Diagnostic imaging modalities available at Brooks Memorial Hospital include state-of-the-art MRI, CT, ultrasound, mammography, nuclear medicine, general radiology and fluoroscopy. Brooks Memorial Radiology is fully accredited by the American College of Radiology in MRI, CT, ultrasound, nuclear medicine and mammography, providing the highest level of professional service.
