Chadwick Bay special meeting

A special meeting has been called by Chadwick Bay Regional Development Corporation Chairman Dan Schrantz. The meeting will be held Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. at the city of Dunkirk Mayor's conference room at City Hall. The agenda will include a resolution to adopt policies, procedures, a charter and a resolution to authorize an agreement with Clark Patterson Lee as lead consultant for the Regional Water System Implementation Plan.

The meeting is open to the public. An agenda will be available at the meeting. For more information contact Executive Director Kathy Tampio at 679-5157.

Dunkirk library board to meet

The Dunkirk Free Library board of directors will meet on Tuesday at 4 p.m. in the library meeting room.

CCIDA meeting in Dunkirk

The Chautauqua County Industrial Development Agency Board of Directors is scheduled to meet Thursday at 10 a.m. in the SUNY Fredonia Incubator, 214 Central Ave., Dunkirk.

Sinclairville looking for bingo inspector

The village of Sinclairville is currently taking applications for a part-time bingo inspector, and plans to make an appointment at its next board meeting on Aug. 16. Applicants for the position must be a resident of the village of Sinclairville or the town of Charlotte and be available to work on Wednesday evenings. Applications are available at the Village Clerk's office during regular business hours.

County directors to meet at fair

The next Chautauqua County Soil & Water Conservation District Directors' regular meeting is July 27 at 10 a.m. at the Chautauqua County Fair's Soil & Water Conservation District ag tent in Dunkirk.

Empty Nest Syndrome seminar

The Valley Pharmacy in Gowanda will host "Empty Nest Syndrome" as presented by Connie Ackerman, licensed clinical social worker from TLC Health Network on Thursday at noon. She will discuss children leaving home and going to college. Lauralee Sprague, NP, will be present to answer questions about general health. Becky Dudley, Eat Smart New York community educator from Cornell University Cooperative Extension will be available to answer questions about eating smarter. Light refreshments, drawing and brochures will be available. The seminar will take place at the pharmacy located at 31 West Main St., Gowanda. The event is sponsored by Lauralee Sprague, NP; TLC Health Network and Valley Pharmacy.
