Signs point to support

July 26, 2012
The OBSERVER

On Friday, the Summer Olympic Games begin in London with our community well represented.

Not only is Jennifer (Stuczynski) Suhr part of the games, but Alex Conti, Fredonia High School wrestling coach, will be an assistant coach for the U.S. women's freestyle wrestling squad. It is an honor for both - and exciting for us to have two people with area connections on such a large stage represented.

For Suhr, this is her second trip to the Games and plenty of support can be seen with signs in yards from the 2008 games around Dunkirk and Fredonia. New signs of support, created by the Fredonia Olympic Celebration Committee, become available today after 3 p.m. at Fredonia Hardware and P&G Foods in Dunkirk. The price for the signs will be the same as in 2008 - $15.

Now, let's cheer on the USA - and our golden area representation.
