Buffalo Creek Native Festival set

BUFFALO - The Buffalo Creek Native Festival 2012 will be held Aug. 4 and 5, at Buffalo Canal Side on the Central Wharf, 1 Marine Drive, Buffalo. This free event will provide a hands-on experience for visitors to become immersed in the unique cultural heritage and traditions that many native people still practice today. The public is welcome to enjoy Iroquois social dancing, view stunning artwork, sample traditional native foods, and try a free "make-n-take" native craft. Breast cancer group plans picnic

The Dunkirk-Fredonia Breast Cancer Support Group will gather for a picnic at the home of Tina Butryn, 49 N. Roberts Road, Dunkirk at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 1. Members are asked to bring a dish to pass, table service and a lawn chair.
