On Sunday night, fireworks lit up the sky around Dunkirk and Fredonia. It was a celebration to culminate the week of activities at the fairgrounds.
Less than 12 hours later, crews were busy cleaning up and pulling apart the fairgrounds as the 131st Chautauqua County Fair was completed. Our appreciation to all who attended, participated and worked to make the event a success.
Each year, a group of volunteers gathers year round to prepare a showcase of the best of our county - its people, projects and animals. It was another job well done.
