Carnival worker taken to hospital after fall

A carnival worker has been taken to the hospital following an incident tonight at the Chautauqua County Fairgrounds.

Dunkirk Fire Department responded to the fairgrounds around 6:30 p.m. for the report of a fall victim. According to Dunkirk Fire, a carnival worker fell about 15 to 20 feet off a ride he had been disassembling. Dunkirk Fire was unsure which ride the worker had been working on and he was transported to Brooks Memorial Hospital for complaints of back pain. The name of the worker was not released.
