CVCS 75th anniversary committee to meet
The regular monthly meeting of the Cassadaga Valley Central School 75th anniversary committee will be held today. The meeting begins at 7 p.m. at the high school building in the multipurpose room. All persons interested in this upcoming event are invited to attend.
DHS Class of 1957 finalizes reunion plans
The Dunkirk High School Class of 1957 will celebrate their reunion on Aug. 17 and 18. On Friday they will enjoy an informed gathering at the Dunkirk Falcon Club on South Roberts Road and Benton Street at 8 p.m. On Saturday they will enjoy dinner at Katerina's on the lake beginning at 6 p.m. Reservations will be accepted until Aug. 5. Historical Society plans family picnic
The Valley Historical Society's next meeting will be the annual family picnic Aug. 7 at 6 p.m. in the Sinclairville Village Park. Members are asked to bring a dish of food to pass, their own table service and beverage. A "No Bake Bake Sale" will be held to raise funds for the 14th annual History Fair taking place on Sept. 8 from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. The program will be Treasure Trove.
Waterman family to reunite Sunday
The Waterman family reunion will take place on Sunday at noon. It will be held at the home of Pete and Carol Waterman, 13629 Jennings Road, Collins. It is half a mile north of Route 39, and Esther and family will be co-hosts.
All relatives are encouraged to join in for the annual family reunion. Those attending are asked to bring a dish to pass and a table setting, and a lawn chair if they have one. Hot dogs and sweet corn will be provided.
For those attending, if swimming, bring a towel, sunscreen, suit, life jackets, pond floaties and bug spray. For camping, bring tents and camping gear for overnight or the weekend. For fishing, bring poles, tackle and bait.
There is a mystery basket, and everyone will have a chance to win. For information, call Mary Linde at 532-4109. Family, bring past reunion pictures to update reunion scrapbook for future generations.
