A wedding celebration honoring Mr. and Mrs. Keith J. Mackowiak of Dunkirk was held Saturday, June 23 at Shorewood Country Club. Mr. Mackowiak and the former Megan A. Zaffalon exchanged their vows aboard a Venetian gondola during a ceremony on the water Jan. 5, 2012 in Las Vegas.
The bride is the daughter of Gary and Denise Zaffalon of Dunkirk, and the bridegroom is the son of David and Judy Mackowiak, also of Dunkirk.
Mrs. Mackowiak, a 2000 alumna of Dunkirk High School, received a bachelor's degree in psychology at SUNY Fredonia, and master's degrees in both student personnel administration at Buffalo State College, and counselor education at St. Bonaventure University. She is the assistant director of financial aid at SUNY Fredonia.

A graduate of Fredonia High School Class of 2000, Mr. Mackowiak earned his associate's degree in business administration at Jamestown Community College and is a December candidate for graduation at SUNY Fredonia majoring in public accountancy. He is a staff accountant at Johnson, Mackowiak & Associates, LLC.
The newlyweds are residing in Dunkirk.
