David G. Dawson, Chautauqua County's pioneer director of development and executive director of the Industrial Development Agency, plans to retire at the end of February 1993. He will have served in county government for 20 years. Currently, he also is acting county executive who takes over as head of government when Andrew Goodell is out of the county. Additionally, he serves as vice chairman of the Private Industry Council.
