Shingles vaccine clinic Thursday

Johnson's Village Pharmacy, 99 E. Chautauqua St., Mayville, is sponsoring a Zostavax (shingles) Vaccine Clinic Thursday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. A registered nurse will be on hand to administer the immunizations, and appointments must be made in advance. Many insurance plans will cover this vaccine, including Medicare D plans. The price without insurance is $225. Contact the pharmacy at 753-3200 if interested in receiving this immunization. Those who have had chicken pox are more susceptible to getting the shingles virus, and the immunization may reduce the incidence and severity of shingles outbreaks. The pharmacy will contact your doctor and insurance to check coverage so advance planning is needed.
