Wendy Susan Peterson Olson, 54, of Jamestown, passed away unexpectedly Tues. Aug 7, 2012 at Westfield Memorial Hospital.
Born March 8, 1958 in Jamestown, daughter of Leona Johnson Peterson of Gerry and the late Wayne S. Peterson.
A Chautauqua County resident all of her life, Wendy was a 1976 graduate of Cassadaga Valley Central School and attended JCC, SUNY Cortland and SUNY Fredonia.

She was an area Tupperware Manager, an office manager for 15 years for Manpower Temp Services, a Business Consultant for George S. May and was most recently employed with Legacy Analytics.
Wendy was a member and involved with various ministries of the Gerry United Methodist Church.
Music was a passion in her life. She played clarinet and managed the Cassadaga Area Concert Band. She was also a former member of the Jamestown Business and Professional Women's Association.
She enjoyed playing volleyball, tennis and cards along with traveling, reading and communicating with friends throughout the world via the internet, was a past auxiliary Rodeo Queen, loved animals, horseback riding, but most of all loved her friends and family.
Wife of 29 years to Robert T. Olson Jr., whom she married Sept. 10, 1983; sister of Dr. Melanie Peterson of Lansdowne, PA and Sally (Greg) Peterson Dallas of Frewsburg; aunt of Sarah J. Howard of Falconer; niece of Dr. Annita B. Watson, Lois A Woodams, Kay and Beverly Peterson; daughter-in-law of Robert and Lucy Olson of Falconer; sister-in-law of Diane (Ernie) Howard of Falconer and also survived by cousins.
Preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Nels and Norma Johnson Woodams; step grandfather
W. Edward Woodams; paternal grandparents Gustav and Helen Peterson.
Funeral service 1 p.m. Friday Gerry United Methodist Church, Route 60, Gerry. Visitation 5-8 p.m. Thursday in Jordan Funeral Home, Sinclairville. Burial in Gerry Cemetery.
