Brad Anderson Recognition Committee to meet
The next meeting of the Brad Anderson Recognition Committee will be on Tuesday at 6 p.m. at the Portland Town Hall, 87 W. Main Street, Brocton. The public is invited to attend.
Youth Hunter Education Challenge finals Saturday
The 13th annual New York State Youth Hunter Education Challenge finals will be held Saturday starting at 8 a.m. The challenge is open to all youth ages 12 to 18.
They will compete in .22 caliber rifle shooting at swinging targets, shotgun shooting at clay targets, archery shooting at life size 3D animal targets, orienteering with map and compass and a hunter responsibility exam.
The finalist from this event will be eligible to represent the state of New York next summer at the NRA International Y.H.E.C. \event held at the NRA Whittington Center in Raton, N.M.
