JAMESTOWN A 30-year-old city man is facing charges after sexually abusing a child.
Jamestown police report Jason R. Alexander was sent to the county jail after he was arrested at 11 p.m. Friday. He was charged with three counts of second-degree sexual conduct against a child.
Cause of Perrysburg fire to be determined
PERRYSBURG The Cattaraugus County Fire Investigation Team was called to assist the Seneca Nation Fire Department in determining the origin and cause of a fire in Perrysburg. The fire took place on Aug. 8 at 12110 Burning Springs Road. The residence is owned by Christina M. Shindler. No occupants were in the house at the time of the fire which started at 2:08 p.m. Fire damage was limited to a front bedroom. Smoke and water damage was quite severe to the residence. The occupants are currently staying with other relatives. Versailles Fire Department also responded to the call. The investigation is still ongoing.

FORESTVILLE - Joshua Stull, 36, of Forestville, was charged Wednesday with second-degree contempt after he allegedly violated an order of protection. He was issued an appearance ticket and will appear in the Town of Hanover Court at a later date.
HANOVER - Brandon E. Marx, 30, of Gowanda, was charged with felony DWI, DWI per se, consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle, unlicensed operator, failure to comply and speed in zone Friday after a traffic stop on Routes 5/20. Marx did not comply when deputies attempted to pull him over and he entered Erie County. Once pulled over Marx tried to switch seats with a passenger. Marx was allegedly found to be intoxicated and was issued tickets to appear in the Town of Hanover Court at a later date. Erie County Sheriff's and Silver Creek Police assisted in the incident.
