Westfield Farmers Market to participate in Cruise Against Hunger Saturday

WESTFIELD - As part of the Cruise Against Hunger Classic Car Show to be held at Cross Roads Market Saturday from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m., "An Evening in Moore Park" will provide family fun in the village of Westfield on that night. The Westfield Farmers' and Artisans' Market is sponsoring this alcohol-free event which will include a classic car cruise in and live music in a festive, market atmosphere.

Classic car owners are invited to display their automobiles on Elm Street, which will be closed between Main and McClurg streets to all but local traffic. A free concert in the gazebo by The Lake Erie Banjo Jammers is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m. and end at 7 p.m. to be followed by a reunion performance by the band Cute Is What We Aim For. Tickets for the Cute Is What We Aim For performance will be sold on site for $5.

Proceeds from this event will be divided between The Food Bank of Western New York and the operations fund of the Westfield Farmers' and Artisans' Market.

Westfield Farmers' and Artisans' Market vendors have been invited to reopen their booths on Saturday evening and every restaurant in the village has been invited to set up shop in the market area to provide food and a variety of non-alcoholic drinks.
