The Chautauqua County Greenway Plan is now complete and ready for action.
Please plan to join us Thursday from 4:30 to 7 p.m. in Lakeside Park at the Green Pavilion, Mayville.
Hike, bike, walk, run, kayak, row, sail, canoe, or even drive in to see what the Greenway Plan is, what the first steps will be, and how you can help make Chau-tauqua County an even better four-season destination for outdoor active living.
Hot dogs and beverages will be served, and you can also check out the latest in outdoor equipment and outdoor activities from local businesses and organizations.
Make it an evening, bring a picnic and stay for the great sounds of the '60s from Deuble and Vogan, performing as part of the Village of Mayville's free Concerts in the Park series in the park at 6:30 p.m.
Brocton school board meeting Thursday
The Brocton Central School Board of Education will meet Thursday at 7 p.m. in the District Conference Room.
The Audit Committee will meet at 6 p.m .in Mr. Hertlein's Office.
County Home Ad hoc committee meeting Tuesday at 8 p.m.
There will be a County Home Ad. Hoc Committee meeting at 8 p.m., following the special meeting of the Legislature regarding the report from Center for Governmental Research, on Tuesday in Rooms 331 and 333 of the Gerace Office Building, Mayville.
Seneca Party chooses new officers
The membership of the Seneca Party, the dominant political party of the Seneca Nation, recently chose new party officers for the Allegany and Cattaraugus territories.
At the Cattaraugus Territory meeting Aug. 12, members were convened by Seneca Party Chairs J.C. Seneca and Co-Chair Angel Williams to nominate new officers. Those chosen to lead the Seneca Party include: Chair Travis Jimerson, Co-Chair Corrine Bennett Martin, Treasurer Susanne Memmo Lindgren and Secretary Luanna Jimerson.
At the Allegany Territory meeting Aug. 13, members were convened by Party Chairs Odie Brant Porter and Adam Kennedy. The new officers chosen are Chair Darlene Miller, Co-Chair Stephen Watt, Treasurer Pam Bowen and Secretary Trishelle Murphy.
