State Police at Jamestown
FALCONER - On Tuesday, three individuals were charged with unlawful possession of marijuana following a stop for a traffic violation on South Work Street. Kyle Elderkin, 19, of Frewsburg and James Albro, 18, and Mathew Walczak, 18, both of Kennedy, were charged after troopers searched the vehicle. Troopers reported that they observed small amounts of marijuana scattered throughout the vehicle while speaking to the individuals after the traffic stop. The troopers reportedly located several grams of the substance in the vehicle and on the persons of the three.
The subjects were issued appearance tickets and are scheduled to appear in the Town of Ellicott Court at a later date.
FREWSBURG - On Monday, Stephanie Short, 22, of Frewsburg was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana.
Short was pulled over on Route 62 for excessive window tint. Reportedly, while speaking to Short, the trooper smelled marijuana emanating from inside the vehicle.
Short was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to answer the charge in the Town of Carroll Court at a later date.
Fredonia Police Department
Gary Thomas Ortolano, 50, turned himself in to Fredonia Police on Aug. 6 on a warrant. He was charged with second-degree harassment after an incident that occurred in March. He turned himself in after being released from prison. He was released on an appearance ticket.
Shannon M. Roche, 27, of Dunkirk was arrested on a bench warrant on Aug. 10. She was held for arraignment.
