The Silver Creek Central Middle School announces the Students of the Month for May. The students were selected based on the following criteria: strong work ethic, dependability, helpfulness, respectfulness and cooperation with others.
The sixth-grade recipients are Zachary Rybak and Lauren Grover.
Zachary is the son of Ronald and Cara Rybak of Silver Creek. Within school, he plays the trumpet in band and participates in intramural basketball. He has also been on the honor roll for all four quarters this school year. Outside of school, he participates on youth basketball and baseball leagues and he is a member of a travel hockey team. He is also an active member of his church. His favorite activities include playing sports, playing video games, and hanging out with his friends. One day he would like to become a professional athlete.
Lauren is the daughter of Gary and Kimberly Grover of Silver Creek. Within school, she sings in chorus, plays the clarinet in band and is a member of the book club, the Spanish club and the broadcast club. She plans to join several modified sports next school year. Outside of school she participates on a youth softball league and is an active member within her church. Her favorite activities include running, playing outside, reading, hanging out with friends, walking, playing Minecraft and collecting pigs. She is interested in exploring numerous professions as she grows up to include scientist, archeologist, baker and architect.
The seventh-grade recipients are Christopher Prosneick and Nichole Jimerson.
Christopher is the son of Kevin and Melissa Prosneick of Silver Creek. Within school, he participates on the cross country team. Outside of school, he is an active member of the Boy Scouts and his favorite activities include hanging out with friends and being with his family. He hopes to one day join the military.
Nichole is the daughter of Diane Waterman of Irving and Rodney Jimerson of Gowanda. Within school, she participates on the volleyball, basketball and softball teams. Her favorite activities include playing sports, swimming and hanging out with friends. Her goal is to become a chef.
The eighth-grade recipients are Jack Lynch and Hannah Seiders.
Jack is the son of Ed and Mary Ann Lynch of Silver Creek. Within school, he plays the trumpet in band and participates on the track and soccer teams. His favorite activities include going to the beach, riding his bike and hanging out with his cousins. His goal is to become a salesman or a manager of a business.
Hannah is the daughter of William and Amy Seiders of Silver Creek. Within school, she sings in chorus and she participates on the cross country, basketball and track teams. She is also a member of the Natural Helpers. Outside of school, her favorite activity is running and she hopes to one day participate in the Olympics.
