A Fredonia tradition is under way.
On Thursday evening, the showing of the "Goonies" movie in the park kicked off the Farm Festival event, but a grand opening ceremony at 9 a.m. officially kicks off the event today. Besides the regular showcase of vendors, crafts and a parade on Risley Street, there will also be numerous events, including a children's tractor pull, a performance by Terry Buchwald as well as an antique car show.
Downtown will be a bustling - and Fredonia State University students are returning as well. So take some time and take in an annual festival that is a farewell, in a sense, to summer and a celebration of the coming fall.
