The Fredonia State men's cross country team is No. 10 in the NCAA Division III Atlantic Region preseason rankings released Tuesday.
The United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association placed the Blue Devils in the exact spot where they finished at the 2011 Atlantic Regional meet.
The Blue Devils, under the direction of Tom Wilson, began preseason drills Sunday in preparation for their first meet of the season - the Daniel Walker Invitational at Beaver Island State Park on Aug. 31.
Three other SUNYAC teams are ranked ahead of the Blue Devils in the USTFCCCA poll: Geneseo (No. 1), Cortland (No. 2) and Oneonta (No. 8).
