SILVER CREEK - The Anderson-Lee Library is currently displaying the art of Susan Abrams, a Native American artist from Irving. The intricate and beautiful bead and quill work, along with other handmade pieces, will be on display at the library through the beginning of September. Items include a breach cloth with decorative beadwork, antler rattles, arm bands, breast plates, turtle carrying pouch, a silver necklace adorned with the tree of peace, knife sheaths and beaded moccasins. This is a display full of color and elaborate art work, a display not to be missed.
Anderson-Lee Library, located on Main Street in the village of Silver Creek, is open on Monday and Tuesday from noon to 8 p.m., Thursday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday from noon to 5 p.m., and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Call the library at 934-3468 with any questions or for driving directions.
