PERRYSBURG - Kenneth W. Wade, 80, of Route 39, passed away Thursday, August 24, 2012 in Gowanda, NY. He was born November 14, 1931 in Buffalo, NY.
the son of the late William H. and Julie Wade. On September 11, 1954 he married the former Anne Rockwood who survives. Mr. Wade was a Korean War veteran having
served in the U.S. Army. He was employed as a locomotive engineer with Erie Conrail Railroad. He was a member of the Gowanda VFW 5007 and a past member of the Masonic Lodge. He was a longtime baseball coach in the Gowanda area having coached Little League, Babe Ruth and JV baseball. He was an avid outdoorsman. Besides his wife of 57 years, he is survived by a son, William (Barb) Wade of Perrysburg; two daughters, Wendy (Ed) Springer of Fisher, Ill. and Debbie (George) Dubaj of Gowanda; five grandchildren; and six greatgrandchildren. Friends may call at the Mentley Funeral Home Inc., 105 East Main St., Gowanda on Tuesday, August 28 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9
p.m. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 29 at 11 a.m. from the funeral home with Rev. Donna Lewis officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Mount
View Cemetery in Olean, NY. Memorials may be made to Gowanda Little League Baseball.
