Fredonia American Legion Post 59 Car Cruise on Friday
The fourth annual Ameri-can Legion Post 59 Car Cruise is Friday from 6 to 10 p.m. rain or shine and features music by Sammy Slicker and the Black Jacks. Door prizes, 50/50 raffle, silent auction and hot dogs will be available.
Admission is free. All proceeds go to the Chautauqua Veteran's Van.

The Valley Historical So-ciety and Village of Sin-clairville are looking for participants for this year's Sin-clairville History Fair parade to be held at 10 a.m. on Sept. 8. Town board workshop, special meeting set
The Dunkirk Town Board will hold a workshop and special meeting Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the Town Hall, 4737 Willow Road to discuss town hall building renovations.
Reapportionment meeting Sept. 18
A reapportionment meeting has been called for Sept. 18 at 6:30 p.m., in Room 331, of the Gerace Office Building, Mayville, to continue district configurations.
Forestville Fall Festival committee meets
The Forestville Fall Festi-val Committee met this week to finalize plans for The Fall Festival. This will be held Oct. 6-7 at the high school.
The annual scarecrow contest will not have a specific theme this year so show your creativity. These will be displayed in the middle of town. They will be set up Sept. 28- 29.
A new event is a cupcake contest. These will be judged on taste and appearance.
The parade will be held Oct. 7 at 1 p.m. Anyone wanting to participate can call Mike Campaign at 410-6121. Monetary prizes will be given for best floats.
